I think a lot, I have known this from a long time now and every time I think, I know something more.
Well, you must be thinking that from my previous line I must be trying to send a message that I am a great thinker. Oh no, no no no. I am just another hyperactive kid who has to has something to do all the time and when I don't have anything to do I think. But then I think, that all those great thinkers must also be some hyperactive kids, otherwise how could there thinking be so refined, so ahead of their time as if they have thought of all the things again and again, till they couldn't take it anymore and they had to burp it all out to someone. ;-)
Well, so why am I saying all this..and why this post has this weird title. No, I am not writing another review about the movie as it might be very late now for that. There are dozens of review about that movie online. So, if by chance you wandered off here, wondering you might get something about that movie, you are in a very wrong place.
But, this post has something to do with the movie as the thoughts started pouring in my mind only after watching that movie (Yes, I watched it, but only coz there was nothing else on television which I hadn't already seen).
So, coming back to my post, the movie made me think about a really weird topic: LOVE.
Now, I know boys don't talk about it yada yada yada, but this boy has something to say about it, and in all possibilities this is another rational look over the IRRATIONAL state of mind called LOVE.
Yes, according to me Love is a state of mind and the better term for it is SELFLESSNESS. How come, you ask and I say: well it only when we stop thinking about ourselves are we truly able to think about somebody else and that is love. That somebody else can be anyone or any no. of people or even something much more abstract like GOD. For eg: a mother not thinking about her health and making 3 breakfasts everyday coz her two sons and husband all have different timing to go for school/work. But then, You say, if love is so divine, why do most of love marriages end up in divorces??? Well the answer can be very philosophical, but in short, that is coz most of the people don't love the other, they love themselves i.e. a selfish love and not a selfless love. Scratching our brains are we, well here is the philosophy. Well, for most of us adolescent is a difficult time of life. So many different hormones raging through body creating a lot of confusion and no one really to answer all the questions you have. This creates an identity crisis and we search the reason of our existence. All of us deal with these questions in a different way, some take the mischievous path, some accept and make latest trends and some become nerds. But, when we find a person who likes us, we actually satisfy our ego. We make our brain think that he/she is the answer to all your questions and we start loving ourselves even more, all the while thinking that this feel good factor is coz we love someone else and someone else loves us. And when things change a little bit, our love doesn't we still continue loving ourselves and that is when dreams are shattered and relationships are broken and "love" fails.
Then why, you ask again, a mother who loves you selflessly, doesn't understand you loving a girl/ boy who is not of her choice and why someone's mother does that, while somebody else's is very fine with watever relationship their kids are into. Well, the answer is pretty simple, " Everyone needs love". So, when one mother doesn't like her kid getting married without her consent and the other mom is cool with it, check how much they are being loved. In high, probability all the mothers that don't allow you had given their love for you and weren't getting anything in return, so they wait for a long time time and expect your love in form of obedience. While the others that do allow, must be loved by those who are close o them and so they don't need your love that much and they can allow you to love someone else. If you are wondering that you loved your mom enough and still she has some problems, well it might be just because that she thinks that the love that was for her is being shared with someone else. And hence the reason..
